I am extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one nowadays..
THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND QUESTION...The theme question confuses me a little ,,,I will try to answer you this way and hope that this works,,,If not please feel free to contact me again.
I just picked a free theme from the limited free website builder menu on WEEBLY.COM and started laying out the pages from the drop down features such as the add photos and add text etc.,,,I wanted a black background as this would erase any optical distractions and make the context tighter and focal. I felt a white background left too much space that looked like it needed something. Colored backgrounds are not always complementary with colors in the photo's I wanted to use. I took a lot of time fiddling around with the layout until it developed into a theme. Most of all I went with my gut instinct as to what looked right was right or what didn't needed tweaking using the constraints or limited options available before I laid down my money to go PRO ,,,which then gave me a few more options in the drop-down menu. Like being able to add Videos and expand the photo's when they where clicked on, etc,.... My site is not a commercial page. I have worked hard to keep it that way. It is simply a venue I use to journal my development as a woodworker/artist, and a portfolio that I can direct people to if they happen to be interested in seeing more of my work or have questions about the processes I use to do my thing,,,It is about communication and dialog,,, I get a lot of questions about how I do my work and what I use and why I use what I do. My hope is that I can give honestly and freely the answers to encourage others who may have a desire to try doing this kind of stuff. That being said,. I do freely advertise so to speak the products, equipment, tools, etc., because this what I honestly use and this is simply what I have found to work for me. If someone benefits from that "Advertisement or endorsement" ,,,so be it,,, I certainly have benefited from using these things.
So my page may not work as a commercial venue or formula it was deliberately designed not to be commercial, my hope is that I can be informative and helpful and encourage dialog in a passion of mine. Cheers Howard Lobb www.woodworkerhowardlobb.com
