Processes can be viewed as a method to produce a replica of a design whether it be from an ethnic traditional or regional origins or something one may have watched on YOUTUBE ,,, doesn't matter to me I started before Youtube videos and the personal computer where a part of my everyday life or for that matter most peoples "everyday life"
I started because it was an inspiration gleaned from a book by Drew Langsner ,,, I thought at the time it would not be that hard to do ,,,I could figure this out,,,
Now it is a part time thing for me that I still get a craving to do,,, funny how that works ,,, It is winter now "November" and my mind has been thinking of gifts for Christmas,,, Also along the train of thought is a warm shop/studio with a fire burning bright lights turned down, music turned down,,, a dream like setting to be creative ,,, Now the list of things I have to do is endless the painting on the easel ,,, sign on the bench,,, or the cabinets on the go for the shop all this as well as the renovation for the house ,,, Yup these all have to be done ,,, some sooner then later if you asked my wife,,, and she does have a point there...
None the less is the desire to carve a spoon or six,,, just to have some time to do what I want not doing stuff because of need to "GETTERDONE" things,,, I suppose this is the same reason I have always carved spoons they aren't something that really need to be done ,,, I have no real justification ,,, I simply have an urge a seasonal craving,,, or a need to be in that head space for a time,,,
If you have never carved a spoon this may all sail right past understanding,,, However if you have carved a spoon or six ,,, you may totally get where i'm coming from,,, Cheers from H
